On June 23, a three-day seminar-training was launched at KARDAR STEAM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL in Nukus as part of the project “Youth and Women as Ambassadors of Sustainable Tourism in Karakalpakstan,” implemented by the DMO Karakalpakstan Public Association with the financial support of the European Union, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the Yuksalish Nationwide Movement.
The first day focused on sustainable tourism and the development of local tourism initiatives. Participants were introduced to modern approaches to tourism development, explored international best practices, and discussed opportunities to utilize the tourism potential of their communities and local areas.
During practical sessions, participants examined the principles of sustainable tourism and discussed ways to apply them in their own projects and initiatives.
In the coming days, participants will gain new knowledge and practical skills in the fields of ecology, climate change, leadership, and the promotion of local initiatives, helping them become active ambassadors of sustainable development in Karakalpakstan.
