The second day of the training series was held in Muynak as part of the project “Youth and Women as Ambassadors of Sustainable Tourism in Karakalpakstan”, implemented by DMO Karakalpakstan Public Association with the financial support of the European Union, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the Yuksalish Movement.

The second day focused on ecology, climate change, and environmentally responsible tourism. Participants discussed current environmental challenges and their impact on nature, the tourism industry, and local communities, highlighting the importance of responsible use of natural resources.

Special attention was given to the development of environmentally responsible tourism and ways to reduce negative impacts on the environment. Participants explored practical approaches to waste reduction, eco-friendly packaging, and the implementation of sustainable solutions in the tourism sector.

During the practical sessions, participants exchanged experiences, discussed current challenges, and proposed ideas for the development of sustainable tourism in Karakalpakstan.

The training series continues. The final day will focus on leadership, advocacy, and the promotion of local initiatives.

We are confident that the knowledge gained during the training will help participants contribute to the development of environmentally responsible tourism and the preservation of the region’s natural heritage.
