A meeting with foreign experts from the Republic of Türkiye - representatives of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Duriye Bozok, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gizem Özgürel, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Nilgun Karaman - was held at the DMO Karakalpakstan public association.

The meeting took place in cooperation with the faculty members of the Faculty of Economics of Karakalpak State University.

During the visit, the Director of DMO Karakalpakstan, M. Kosnazarov, delivered a presentation on the tourism potential of Karakalpakstan and introduced the activities of the organization, highlighting key directions for the development of tourism in the region.

Special attention was given to the development of gastronomic and ecotourism, as well as to opportunities for creating sustainable tourism routes.

The parties exchanged views on prospects for joint cooperation in tourism, education, and research, including the development of modern approaches to training specialists for the tourism industry.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further strengthening partnership relations between DMO Karakalpakstan and Balıkesir University in the fields of tourism and educational initiatives.
