A meeting with international experts from Japan was held at the public association DMO Karakalpakstan. As part of an official visit to the region, Director of Japan Business Skills Development, Tomohiko Sato, took part in the discussions.
The parties explored prospects for cooperation in tourism and ecotourism, the development of educational programs, exchange of experience, and the introduction of modern approaches to tourism marketing.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan R. Zarikeev outlined key priorities for the sector’s development - sustainable ecotourism, improvement of service quality, and expansion of international partnerships.
Director of DMO Karakalpakstan M. Kosnazarov presented the region’s tourism potential, including infrastructure development, preservation of cultural heritage, and promotion of eco-routes.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in long-term cooperation and in developing Karakalpakstan as a promising tourist destination.
