On March 26, 2026, a practical seminar-training titled “Digitalization of the Restaurant Business and Working with the QR Quality System” was held in Karakalpakstan. The event was organized by DMO Karakalpakstan as part of the project “QR Gastronomic Quality: Assessment and Improvement of the Gastronomic Quality of Tourist Services to Increase the Attractiveness of Karakalpakstan” implemented under a social order from the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event brought together restaurant owners and staff, representatives of gastronomic projects, as well as faculty members and students of higher educational institutions in Karakalpakstan.

During the seminar, participants explored modern digital tools for promoting restaurant businesses, issues of online reputation management, and the principles of implementing a QR-based quality system aimed at increasing transparency and consumer trust.

The practical part included modeling restaurant pages within the QR system, developing content structure, and analyzing real cases related to customer review management using the electronic platform and the mobile application “QR Gastronomic”.

Special attention was given to the role of social media in promoting establishments and shaping their digital image.

“Today, digitalization is becoming an integral part of the development of the restaurant business. The introduction of a QR quality system is not only a step toward transparency, but also an important tool for increasing guest trust and the competitiveness of the region” noted the event organizers.

As a result of the seminar, participants gained practical skills in digital marketing, customer feedback management, and the implementation of modern tools that contribute to enhancing competitiveness and developing the region’s gastronomic potential.
