On 27–29 November 2025, the 30th Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) “Tourism on the Silk Road” was held at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan (CAEx) exhibition complex in Tashkent.

The Republic of Karakalpakstan took an active part in the event, presenting the region’s key tourist attractions: the Aral Sea, the Ustyurt Plateau, the museums of Nukus, ethnographic heritage, as well as ancient fortresses included in travel routes across Karakalpakstan.

The public organization DMO Karakalpakstan, together with the Committee for Tourism Development of Karakalpakstan and leading tour operators of the region, organized a dedicated stand showcasing Karakalpakstan as a tourist destination. The stand featured unique souvenirs, special promotional materials, videos, and brochures prepared as part of DMO Karakalpakstan’s activities.

During the fair, representatives of DMO Karakalpakstan held a series of meetings and business negotiations, discussing prospects for cooperation with partners from India, China, Germany, Slovenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and other countries. Special attention was given to promoting the region’s tourism products and exploring new opportunities to attract visitors.

The organization presented a broad vision of the tourism potential of Karakalpakstan, including ecological, cultural, adventure, and gastronomic tourism. Thanks to the team’s active efforts, new contacts were established and foreign companies were introduced to the region’s opportunities.

In addition, an agreement was reached to strengthen joint tourism flows and develop cooperation between Karakalpakstan and several regions of Uzbekistan—Andijan, Fergana, Samarkand, and the city of Tashkent. The parties expressed readiness for joint promotional programs, experience exchange, and the development of interregional tourist routes.
