On October 17th, 2025 the official presentation of the large-scale project of the "NUKUS CREATIVE FEST" creative industry festival took place in the hall of the "DMO Karakalpakstan" Public Association, in which representatives of the Tourism Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Nukus branch of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan, travel agencies, artisans and designers participated.

At the presentation, the head of the Tourism Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, B. Kusekeev, presented the "DMO Karakalpakstan" public association with a certificate for a cash prize of 50 000 000 summ (UZS) for the victory in the regional stage of the "Best Project" competition, held on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 87 dated May 15, 2025.

The financial manager of "DMO Karakalpakstan" D. Jumamuratova presented the project of the "NUKUS CREATIVE FEST" creative industry festival, which is planned to be held in the city of Nukus.

·        The purpose of the festival is to create a new tourism brand "Nukus - City of Creativity" support young talents, and increase the investment attractiveness of the region.

·        The program includes: art market, ethno-music, start-up competitions, gastronomy, eco-initiatives, master classes, and much more.

During the discussion with the participants, key issues of the festival were discussed, including the development of tourism and the creative industry in Karakalpakstan, as well as support for young artists, artisans, and startups.

Following the presentation, further plans were outlined for developing the creative industry in Karakalpakstan and supporting young professionals in the region.
