A Regular Meeting of the Coordination Council on Tourism Development in the Republic of Karakalpakstan Was Held

On March 28, 2025, a meeting of the Coordination Council on Tourism Development in the Republic of Karakalpakstan was held in Nukus. The event was supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and organized at the Karakalpak branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, analytical results concerning the current regulatory framework related to small business in the tourism sector were presented. Special attention was given to discussing proposals for its improvement.

As part of the meeting, DMO Karakalpakstan’s legal consultant, A. Seitakhov, presented a methodological guide titled "Legal Regulation of the Tourism Business: A Guide for Entrepreneurs" in the Karakalpak language. In addition, M. Kosnazarov, Director of DMO Karakalpakstan, presented souvenir products developed by the organization to promote the tourism potential of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Participants discussed cooperation between the public and private sectors and approved the Council's work plan for the next quarter. Proposals were made regarding the organization of the next meeting and the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts by all stakeholders in the development of the region's tourism industry.
