A meeting was held at DMO Karakalpakstan with Sayora Abatova, Director of the Canadian travel company SilkNomads Travel. The meeting was attended by R. Zarikeyev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and M. Kosnazarov, Director of DMO Karakalpakstan.

During the meeting, Sayora Abatova noted the growing interest among Canadian travelers in visiting Uzbekistan, emphasizing that tourists are increasingly looking for new and less-explored destinations. In her view, Karakalpakstan has significant potential to attract international visitors.

R. Zarikeyev and M. Kosnazarov presented the government measures supporting tourism development, implemented under the initiatives of the President and the Government of Uzbekistan. They also highlighted the ongoing development of tourism infrastructure, the construction of new hotels, and the creation of favorable conditions for investors and tourists. The guest was introduced to Karakalpakstan’s tourism potential, promising travel routes, and DMO Karakalpakstan’s tourism development projects.

The following day, an ознакомительный tour was organized for Sayora Abatova to the Kegeyli and Chimbay districts, where she explored the region’s tourist attractions and rich cultural heritage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain close cooperation, and DMO Karakalpakstan will facilitate partnership development between SilkNomads Travel and tourism companies in Karakalpakstan.
