On the “Today’s Word” program on Qaraqalpaqstan TV, issues related to tourism development were discussed.

The discussion brought together specialists from the Tourism Department, the Road Transport Department, the Ministry of Justice, as well as representatives from the cultural heritage and tourism sectors. Participants exchanged views on promoting tourism, increasing tourist flows to the country, developing ethno-tourism and eco-tourism, and improving infrastructure and service quality.

During the discussion, D. Djumamuratova, representative of the public association DMO Karakalpakstan, emphasized that efforts to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as the development of cultural and historical tourism through projects implemented in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), are yielding positive results.

Currently, the “QR Gastronomic” electronic platform and mobile applications, developed under the “QR Gastronomic Quality” project within a social order from the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, serve as effective tools for improving service quality in the tourism sector.
