The public association DMO Karakalpakstan took part in the domestic tourism fair “Travel Around Uzbekistan,” held at the State Museum of History and Culture in the city of Nukus. The event was organized by the Tourism Development Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

As part of the event, unique souvenirs, special promotional materials, and brochures prepared by DMO Karakalpakstan were presented.

The Director of DMO Karakalpakstan, M. Kosnazarov, presented the organization’s activities and shared a vision for the tourism future of Karakalpakstan. Special attention was given to the region’s unique nature, its rich cultural heritage, and its distinctive atmosphere, which is increasingly attracting travelers.

Among the key areas of development are the creation of geoparks, the development of gastronomic tourism, the promotion of archaeological sites, as well as expanding the region’s presence on international tourism platforms.

Today, global tourism trends are changing: more and more people are seeking not just trips, but meaningful experiences. Interest is growing in eco-friendly routes, expedition-style travel, individual journeys, and lesser-known, authentic destinations.
